Electrical Panel Wirer – Job Description
Department: Production
Reports to: Team Leaders

JOB DESCRIPTION: Panel Wirer

SUMMARY
Electrical Panel wiring in Load Banks and Transformer Units.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
A Panel Wirer reports to the Team Leader and is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives laid down by the Production Manager, such as output, quality, waste, yield, safety.
Typical activities include:
▪ Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
▪ Panel Wiring to Schematic diagrams (As per experience, qualifications or training).
▪ Lay out electrical components to the design wiring diagrams.
▪ Responsible for the quality control of their work. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
▪ Complete daily production logs. (Time sheets).
▪ Identifying training needs.
▪ Communicate with other operators.
▪ Clean and maintain work area.
▪ General housekeeping and continual improvement activities.
▪ Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
▪ Liaising with the Production Manager to maintain department production, quality and ISO9000 standards.
▪ Reporting any potential employee welfare problems to the Production Manager.
▪ Other Duties as assigned.

Much of the work requires the ability to make immediate decisions and time for reflection is can be scarce. Although advice may be available from the colleagues and team leaders and supervisors or other departments, it may not be immediately available at critical moments therefore you have to be able to make things work, there and then.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Assist in repair and maintenance work (if qualified).
▪ Perform back-up for warehouse, yearend stock-take etc.
▪ Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
▪ To have worked as a Panel Wirer for at least 3 years.
▪ Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
▪ Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
▪ Generally as per job specification.

WORKING CONDITIONS
▪ Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewellery are not permitted.

Mechanical & Electrical Assembler / Fitter Job Description
Department: Production
Reports to: Team Leaders

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assembler / Fitter

SUMMARY
Build and assembly of components in Loadbanks and Transformer Units.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
An Assembler / Fitter reports to the Team Leader and is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives laid down by the Production Manager, such as output, quality, waste, yield, safety.

Typical activities include:
▪ Working with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals.
▪ Mechanical and / or electrical assembly work. (As per experience, qualifications or training).
▪ Responsible for quality control. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
▪ Operating steel worker and copper punching and bending machinery once suitably trained.
▪ Operate forklift to maintain raw material supply for the production line. (If qualified).
▪ Complete daily production logs. (Time sheets).
▪ Identifying training needs.
▪ Communicate with other operators.
▪ Clean and maintain work area.
▪ General housekeeping and continual improvement activities.
▪ Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
▪ Liaising with the Production Manager to maintain department production, quality and ISO9000 standards.

Rental Fleet Engineer – Job Description
Department: Rental
Reports to: UK Hire Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: Rental Engineer

SUMMARY
Working alongside the UK Rental Manager, responsible for the overall condition, operation and testing of the Crestchic Loadbank rental fleet in Burton upon Trent and site installations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
A Rental Engineer reports to the UK Rental Manager and is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives laid down by the UK Rental Manager, such as fleet availability, safe working, working to customer site requirements and timely installation on sites.
Typical activities include:

MAINTENANCE
▪ The routine maintenance of all of all equipment in the depot to ensure optimum utilisation in keeping with budgeted maintenance expenditure.
▪ The identification of equipment that requires more than routine maintenance to manufacturing department.
▪ Adherence to the Company’s workshop standards and procedures.
▪ Operation of the Company`s maintenance recording systems.
▪ Testing of the Rental Fleet (Loadbanks, Transformers, Laptops, Handheld Controllers, Control Cables, Etc) in line with the procedures laid down in the above recording systems.

SITE WORKING
▪ The routine maintenance of all of all equipment on site(s) to ensure optimum utilisation in keeping with budgeted maintenance expenditure.
▪ Installation of Crestchic rental equipment on customer sites.
▪ Safe electrical installation working practices.
▪ Electrical safety testing prior to energising the system.
▪ Responsible for the quality control of their work. Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
▪ Complete daily reports, (Time sheets).
▪ Working with the customer to ensure smooth load testing programme.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Perform back-up for warehouse, year-end stock-take etc.
▪ Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
▪ Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required, along with basic MS Office knowledge.
▪ Full UK driving licence.
▪ Full UK Passport (or other international passport).
▪ Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
▪ Qualified electrical engineer.
▪ Generally as per job specification.

WORKING CONDITIONS
▪ Working conditions are normal for a plant rental environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewellery are not permitted.
▪ Site working is across the UK and will involve frequent over-night stays.
▪ Additional to UK working is international working, where the engineer maybe required to stay at site for up to 4 weeks.
